Against this, the domestic IMFL industry grew at a paltry 3 per cent in the reporting fiscal, the company said, adding ABD has maintained a CAGR of 21 per cent in the last five years, making it one of the fastest-growing spirits companies in the country.
Speaking on the continuing success story, vice chairman and chief executive Deepak Roy said, "Last year was a watershed year for ABD with sales touching 32 million cases. The journey from 5.2 million cases about eight years ago to 32 million cases is a testament to the strength of brands and this achievement will serve as the best springboard for us to now reach greater heights in the coming years."
The Officer's Choice Blue brand registered a robust growth of 100 per cent whereas the semi-premium whisky segment by 19 per cent.
After the runaway success of Officer's Choice Whisky and Officer's Choice Blue Whisky, ABD recently launched OC Black, a semi-premium-plus whisky in select markets, and the brand has already gained a 10 per cent market share in some markets.
ABD also sells rum, vodka and brandy brands and its portfolio of brands includes Jolly Roger Rum, Lord & Master Brandy, Class 21 Vodka and Wodka Gorbatschow.
The Kishore Chhabria-promoted ABD has over the past few years emerged as the fastest growing spirits company in the country with a compounded growth rate of 21 per cent in the past five years. ABD has 50 manufacturing/bottling units in 22 states with 15 sales offices.
