Serchhip district is the worst hit as 270 houses were damaged followed by 107 houses collapsed in Mamit district in the storm on April 2 and 5. Other affected districts included Champai and Kolasib, they said.
Besides, 25 fisdhing boats were swept away by a flood in the river Tlawng near Aizawl during the thunderstorm, they said.
