An absconder, wanted in connection with a case registered in 2005, was arrested Saturday in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
Mohammad Sadiq, a resident of Utter Behani village of Bari Brahamana, was on the run after he was named in an FIR registered under section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Ranbir Penal Code and 3/6 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, a police spokesman said.
He said a police party from the Bari Brahmana police station nabbed the accused from the area on a specific information.
