The special court of Judge V V Bambarde directed the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) that bail applicants Nissaar Khatri, Fateh Mohammad Khatri, Jaitun Khatri, Abid Khatri and Jahid Khatri be given 24 hours notice prior to their arrest.
The direction came after ACB's Thane unit probing irregularities in construction of Kalu and Kondane dams told the court that since investigations into these two cases are at crucial stage, anticipatory bail applications filed by Khatri family members who are partners in F A Constructions must be rejected outright.
Members of the Khatri family were arrested and some of them who were named in the FIR in the Balganga dam scam have also been named in an alleged fraud cases related to Kalu and Kondane dams, which the ACB is probing.
