Thane Division District Superintendent of Police (ACB) Datta Karale told PTI that the duo have been arrested and offences under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, were registered against them.
In an official release issued here today, Additional Superintendent of Police (ACB) Shrinivas Ghadge stated that in the first case, police constable Vilas Baba More, attached to the Vasai traffic police allegedly demanded Rs 2,000 from a complainant for allowing two water tankers to pass through the road by the Virar railway station.
In the second case, the ACB raided a Sindhudurgh lady revenue officer Manisha Shipugade, of Bhivane in Kudal taluka and arrested her while accepting Rs 400 from the complainant in her office at about 1.30 pm today.
The ACB official said that the revenue officer had demanded Rs 700 to issue 8(a) and 7/12 documents to a complainant.
