"Limestone mining operations at company's Chaibasa Cement Works has been suspended on account of requirement of further clearances from the Government of Jharkhand," the company said in a filing to the BSE.
ACC said it is in discussion with the concerned authorities in this regard and expected that limestone mining operations would resume shortly.
It, however, did not elaborate on the nature of clearances required for the mining operations and said the closure of mining operations has not had any material impact because the company was getting supplies of clinker from other sources.
ACC shares today closed at Rs 1,481.70 on the BSE, up 0.53 per cent from previous close.
