ACC Q2 Net rises 32.5% to Rs 326.23 crore

Cement maker ACC Ltd today reported a 32.57 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 326.23 crore for the second quarter ended June 30 on account on robust sales.
The company, which follows the January-December as fiscal year, had clocked a net profit of Rs 246.07 crore in the year-ago period, ACC Ltd said in a BSE filing.
Its consolidated sales rose 17.89 per cent to Rs 3,818.21 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 3,238.69 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
ACC's cement sales during the April-June quarter stood at 6.74 million tonnes (MT) as against 6.12 MT a year ago, up 10.13 per cent.

Shares of ACC today settled at Rs 1,751.25 apiece on BSE, down 0.08 per cent from the previous close.
