Sekhar, a former AIADMK MLA who was expelled from the party in 2009, described the meeting as a friendly one.
He was en route to Sivakasi where he was staging a drama and had invited Alagiri for the programme.
"Alagiri is my good friend.I don't need to speak politics with him.I invited him for my drama.Alagiri has been expelled from DMK and BJP has not accepted me so far.We discussed some common issues," he said.
