"There are many people representatives who do not visit their electorate after elections. I want to visit the villages and meet people and help in their development," the Sultanpur MP said addressing the 'chaupal' (meeting) in Vallipur village here adopted by him under the Prime Minister's 'Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana'.
"The relationship between the electorate and their MP is not limited to elections. The actual relationship starts only after the election. People should see whether the person they have elected considered them as his own or if vote is everything for him," Varun said.
On the demand of locals, Varun made announcements related to roads, houses, toilets, solar lights, handpumps and electricity in the village and also honoured five students.
Stressing that people have given him the responsibility to serve them, he said it was his duty to resolve their problems and he considered the constituency as his home.
Today was the last day of the two-day visit of the MP here.
