The British pop star scored a huge hit with the title track from 2012 movie "Skyfall", winning her an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a BRIT Award.
Smith became the latest artist to take on the job of recording a Bond theme, providing "Writing's on the Wall" for this year's spy adventure "Spectre", but it has failed to match the popularity of Adele's song in a public vote.
"Skyfall" topped the poll, put together by bosses at Britain's ITV network to find Britain's best-loved Bond theme, followed by Paul MCCartney & Wings' "Live and Let Die" at number two.
