Dungdung was on his way to Jamshedpur on a private visit when a speeding truck from the opposite direction hit a car before it rammed into the vehicle of the ADG on Ranchi-Tata highway near Nagasoren village in adjoining Seraikela -Kharswan district, Superintendent of Police Durga Oraon said.
The ADG and his driver were unhurt, the SP said.
Dungdung's vehicle was damaged in the accident, which claimed the life of an occupant of the private car moving ahead of Dungdung, besides injuring three others.
All the injured have been rushed to a hospital in Jamshedpur.
The truck was seized and the driver arrested, the police said.
