Young Indian golfer Aditi Ashok, who had created a sensation by winning the Lalla Aicha Tour School in Marrakech late last year, is all set to tee up at this week's Lalla Meryem Cup in Rabat.
The field also includes Vani Kapoor, who has a sponsors' invite to the event while Sharmila Nicollet, who is attempting a comeback from injury is way down on the reserve list.
It will be a new beginning for Aditi, who last year hit the headlines as an amateur, by winning a series of events around the world, and then topping the LET Qualifying School.
The 18-year-old's ranking points have also ensured her a berth into the Olympic Games in Rio.
Vani has played two events on the LET on invites, but missed the cut in both. Late last year she was T-20 at the Hero Women's Indian Open, and also won three times on the Hero Indian Women's professional Tour this year.
Aditi leads a group of 20 LET Rookies from 12 different countries at the Blue Course at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat, as the men's Trophee Hassan II on the PGA European Tour is played simultaneously on the club's Red Course.
Aditi played her first event as a pro on the Australian PGA tour and made the cut, but in her first LET event at the New Zealand Open, she missed the cut. Aditi then took a break from golf to finish her school leaving examinations.
Aditi plays her first round with Olivia Cowan and Natalia Escuriola Martinez, who earned her card through the LET Access Series while Vani, who leads the domestic Indian Tour, will play with Maribel Lopez and Lydia Hall.
