Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today inaugurated the two-day Rasotsav, jointly organised by the state tourism department, the Brij Tirth Vikas Parishad and the Brajbhumi Vikas trust.
Local MP, actress-turned-politician Hema Malini has been instrumental in organising the event which is being held at the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Veterinary Institute here.
Speaking at the event, Adityanath said there would be no dearth of funds for the development of Mathura, adding that however, every effort would be made to retain its cultural and spiritual character.
The growth of development in the state would be rapid since investors have promised to invest more at the recently-concluded investors' sumit in Lucknow than what was estimated in the state budget," the BJP leader said.
He also appreciated Hema Malini for her concern and commitment for the development of Mathura.
Adityanath earlier felicitated music maestros Pandit Jasraj and Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia.
Hema Malini felicitated the chief minister and state ministers Laxmi Narain Chaudhary and Rita Bahuguna.
Earlier, speaking at Lohban village, which has been adopted by Hindi daily Hindustan, Adityanath urged other organisations to come forward and adopt at least one village.
He said his government was committed to ensuring the development of 60,000 village panchayats and and 553 nagar nikay in the state.
