Uttar Pradesh Panchayat elections is scheduled to start from October 9 and will end on 13. The voting would be done in some parts of Kanpur district on October 9 and in other parts on October 13.
Whereas, the one-day International match between India and South Africa would be played on October 11.
Both the teams would reach here on October 9 and will practice the next day and leave on October 12, a day after the match.
A meeting with senior state government officials was held in Lucknow two days ago which discussed the plan, Pandey said.
Now, the district and police officials concerned would meet the State Election Commission officials today and demand additional security forces for the match and the panchayat elections, the IG said.
