The award comprising a citation was presented by Bombay High court Judge Justice R D Dhanuka in the presence of Thane District and Sessions Judge Ms U M Nandeshwar, Additional Solicitor General of India, Anil Singh, former Chairman of the Maharashtra and Goa Bar council Pramod Patil, and Principal of Thane Law College Srividya Jaykumar.
The award has been instituted by Vidhi Foundation and the function was jointly organised by the foundation and Thane Law College.
The lecture was delivered by Justice Dhanuka on the topic 'arbitration'.
