A Judicial Magistrate court had remanded Syed Sahabuddin and Darvish Moideen, who were booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Explosives Substances Act, to custody last month.
Syed Sahabbudhin alleged he had been falsely implicated in the case.
Darvish Mohideen, who had served seven years in prison in a bomb planting case till 2007, alleged police had previously subjected him to illegal custody. He had moved the court against that and hence to wreak vengeance police had falsely implicated him the case,he alleged.
They prayed that they should also be granted bail as other accused had secured the relief.
The bomb was detected and defused before Advani's cavalcade crossed a bridge at Aalam Patti in Madurai district on October 28, 2011.
Police have registered cases against 10 persons in connection with the incident, of whom seven have been nabbed.
