Experts from farm-related areas will share their views with cultivators at the five-day event, one of the the biggest agriculture fairs in the country.
Union Minister for Shipping and Transport Nitin Gadkari, who is the chief promoter of 'Agro-Vision', said the mega expo will provide a platform to farmers to know about the latest trends and innovations in agriculture.
The fair has been growing in popularity and scope. As many as five lakh farmers visited last year's edition of 'Agro-Vision', where 300 stalls of companies, including MNCs, were put up at Reshimbagh Ground, he said at a press conference here.
Another focus area will be dairy sector, a segment where Vidarbha lags far behind other regions of the State, the Union Minister, who hails from Nagpur, said.
The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) will be roped in to provide guidance to farmers in Vidarbha, Gadkari added.
