Air India CMD Rohit Nandan is in Ljubljana holding discussions with the top-brass of Adria, which is a member of the Star Alliance which has 27 other airlines in its fold, a spokesperson of the national carrier said here today.
"Air India continues to engage with major airlines for enhancing bilateral cooperation, and also continues to maintain dialogue with Star Alliance in an effort to expand its global reach and connectivity," he said in a statement.
Membership in an airline alliance ensures seamless travel to passengers and shared benefits to members.
Star Alliance, which connects 1,328 destinations in 195 countries, is the largest of the three global airline groupings, the others being SkyTeam and 'oneworld'. Among its members are Lufthansa, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, United Airlines, Air China, All Nippon Airways and Thai Airways.
