The rallies were held to mark the founding day of its youth wings for men and women and it highlighted AIADMK regime's welfare programmes being implemented for the people.
The welfare schemes of the AIADMK include low cost food chain of Amma Canteen, Amma Cement, free goat, cow, 20 kg of rice through PDS outlets, gold for Thali (mangalsutra) for women and laptop for students to ensure the social and economic growth of the marginalised people.
The rallies come after arch rival DMK celebrated its leader Stalin's 62nd birthday on March 1 as "Youth Awakening Day" by holding several events across the state. DMK has been working hard to regain power in the state.
AIADMK youth wings "Ilangyar Pasarai" and "Ilampengal Pasarai" for men and women were launched by Jayalalithaa when her party was in the opposition on March 7, 2008 as part of efforts aimed at making a comeback after it lost power in 2006 to the DMK and its allies.
