AICA Group to expand operations in south india

Australia-based conglomerate AICA Group today announced its plans to expand its Engineering division - AICA Engineering India Pvt Ltd to the South Indian market with their solar products to tap renewable energy sector here.
AICA Engineering India is now offering its local customers with a two-fold objective of reducing their power bills and increasing sustainability in the most cost effective manner, Shiju Mathews, Managing Director AICA Group, told reporters here.
AICA Engineering, a channel partner of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), has primarily been involved in the renewable energy sector specialising in Photo Voltaic (PV) systems and development, testing and installation of Hybrid Power systems for residential, commercial, institutional and industrial purposes.
Kerala government in their solar policy has announced to increase the installed capacity in the solar sector to 500 MW by 2017, Tamil Nadu aims to generate 3,000 MW by 2015, Karnataka has already announced installing 2,000 MW of solar power capacity by 2022 and Andhra Pradesh government is working on adding 5,000 MW of solar power by 2019, he said.
These figures show how huge the market is in South India itself is for solar power generation, he said.
AICA Engineering is aiming to tap this huge market with its products and services and international experience.
"... We constantly believe in innovation and we are currently working on Prime Minister of India's pet projects: Water treatment (oxygen diffuser) through solar system and solar powered bio toilets for schools, villages and institutions where large crowd are expected," he added.
AICA group, apart from Australia, has operations in India, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom. The company is also part of the Australasia Energy Equity Fund, and Education Trading Employment Australia.
