AIDWA VP among 9 CPI-M candidates in TN

U Vasuki, National Vice-President of All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA), is among the list of nine candidates announced by CPI-M today for the April 24 Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu.
57-year-old Vasuki would contest contest from Chennai North, while another woman candidate Tamil Selvi would contest from Thanjavur, as per the list released by CPI-M state secretary G Ramakrishan at party headquarters here.
The other candidates are P Vikraman (Madurai), G Anandan (Villupuram), A V Bellarmin (Kanyakumari), K Samuvel Raj (Virudhunagar), S Sridhar (Tiruchirapalli), P R Natarajan (Coimbatore) and N Pandi (Dindigal).
The Left parties have parted ways with the AIADMK and decided to field their party candidates in 18 of the 39 constituencies in the state. CPI is yet to announce its candidates.
