"In Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and other states there are illegal encroachments by government on Waqf properties worth several hundred crores," AIMPLB member Shia cleric Kalbe Jawwad told reporters here.
He said to save land of Karbala in Jorbagh, New Delhi, a "Karbala Bachao Yatra" will be taken out under 'Save Waqf' campaign from Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's constituency Raebareli on March 23.
The yatra after passing from different districts of the state will reach New Delhi on March 31 and they would meet Gandhi there to apprise her about the problem, Jawwad said.
