Police at Nedumbassery acknowledged that she had filed the complaint against a senior pilot a month ago.
They, however, refused to give details about the nature of the complaint, saying they can not comment on a case which is being probed.
Airline sources said nothing amounting to outraging the woman's modesty had occurred on the pilot's part during a briefing session in which some of her colleagues were also present.
Moreover, she had not registered any complaint with the airline or sought a department-level inquiry into any sort of harassment or insult, they claimed.
Air India Express officials said she was granted a few days leave, but she has not informed them the reasons for extending it.
Such actions are against HR policy of the company and she may face department-level action for her "unauthorised absence", they said.
