Air Marshal R K Jolly, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Air Command, reviewed development works at Air Force Station in Barrackpore today, officials said.
During his three-day tour, Jolly visited various units and sections of the airbase, inspected the vital installations and reviewed ongoing development works.
It was from this airbase that Mi-17 V5 helicopters were extensively deployed for relief activities at Uttarakhand and Odisha in aid to civil authorities last year, the sources said.
The AOC-in-C also addressed the Air Warriors of the airbase and lauded them for their dedicated work and achievements.
