AJKPC celebrates implementation of 73rd Amendment in J&K

The All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) today took out a victory procession in Jammu to celebrate the implementation of 73rd Amendment of Indian Constitution in the State Panchayati Raj Act.
A large number of Panches and Sarpanches from different blocks of the state gathered here at the premises of Press Club, Jammu, and took out a victory procession to celebrate the implementation of Amendment.
Jubilant panchayat members celebrated amidst drum beating and raised slogans cheering AJKPC leaders and implementation of 73rd amendment.
Panches and sarpanches garlanded and congratulated AJKPC leaders for their success in the movement which they had launched two years ago.

Earlier, speaking to reporters, AJKPCC Chairman Shafiq Mir appreciated the role of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi who forced the government of Jammu and Kashmir to implement this public-friendly act in Jammu and Kashmir.
Welcoming the development, Mir recalled the struggle borne by leaders in the last 2 years, and said this has paved way for other public-friendly Central Acts to be implemented in the state.
AJKPC President Anil Sharma expressed gratitude to Rahul for his role in achieving the landmark development.
