Akali worker booked for throwing acid on Congress worker

A local Akali leader Surinder Chowdry has been booked for allegedly throwing acid on a Congress worker in the Putlighar area near the polling booth, police said.
A criminal case was registered in the evening against Chowdry for throwing acid on Congress worker Dimple Arora, who escaped unhurt but his trouser was partially burnt, they said.
