"The incident of threatening for extorting money has come in a section of media. DGP should ensure that such incidents, which malign image of the state should not recur,", Yadav said.
He said that on being informed about such incidents, district police chiefs should act immediately or action could also be initiated against them.
"The police should ensure that no trader, businessman or investor should get extortion calls", he said.
