With Assembly elections weighing heavily on his mind, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said he expected the Election Commission to hold the polls when the weather is pleasant to enable parties to campaign effectively.
"As about six months are left (for the polls), the EC will be announcing election dates. We expect it to be held in good weather so that we all can put our view before people more effectively," Yadav said in the state Assembly.
Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh are due early next year.
