Akihiko Kawano takes over as head of JTEKT India

JTEKT India, formerly known as Sona Koyo Steering Systems, today said it has appointed Akihiko Kawano as its managing director with effect from July 1.

The appointment has been approved by the company's board, the company said in a statement.

Kawano has held a number of leadership roles within JTEKT Corporation, both within and outside Japan, it added.

JTEKT India is a part of Japan's JTEKT Corporation. It manufactures and sells various auto components, including steering systems, bearings, machine tools, and electronic control devices.
