The 48-year-old actor, who has worked with Sonakshi in film like "Rowdy Rathore," "Holiday" and "Boss" praised the actress for pushing boundaries as an artist.

Directed by AR Murugadoss, Akira is said to be an emotional thriller set in Mumbai and Rajasthan. The film marks Murugadoss' third Hindi venture after back-to-back hits "Ghajini" and "Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty".
Sonakshi, 29, will be seen in a new avatar in the film and has undergone rigorous training to get into the skin of the character.
