Those having Android Mobile Phone" could download "Alert 360App" free of cost and easily access to the police network. The deparment had tied up with Coimbatore based Ephron Systems, which originally developed the software, he said.
A similar version was available in U.S., he said.
Under the existing "Hello Police" system, a common Access Number (CAN),83000 31100 is used. CAN would automatically appear on Mobile screen with the down loaded app, he said.
If the callers swiped the number, the alert would be received by police officers in the respective area.The control room also would get the alert. The efficacy of the system was also demonstrated.
