Authorities have jailed an Algerian citizen for possible links with the suspected ringleader of the Paris attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud.
A court in Algeria's Bejaia province said the man, who lives in Belgium, was jailed Tuesday in the northern Algerian town Akbou, according to state news agency APS. The statement didn't identify the man or specify the charges against him.
The man is suspected of having "links with the terrorist attacks of Paris," according to the court statement.
Belgium was home to four of the Nov. 13 attackers who killed 130 people in Paris, including Abaaoud, who died in a police raid in an apartment in Paris' suburb five days later.
