The "Heroes" star will play a sports agent in drama "Pitch", a role which originally went to Elisabeth Shue - who pulled out after creative differences with the character, Deadline reported.
The pilot centres on Kylie Bunbury's character Ginny, a pitcher who becomes the first woman to play in the major leagues.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar also stars in the drama, written by Dan Fogelman and Rick Singer.
Larter is also known for the "Final Destination" and "Resident Evil" series. She last appeared on TV starring in "Legends" opposite Sean Bean.
