Alia-Shahid shine in breezy, quirky 'Shaandaar' trailer

A romantic Alia day-dreams of being rescued by her knight in shining armour (Shahid) as she is about to fall from a horse, but he snaps her out of her fantasy, saying, "Nothing like this will happen."
The cute sequence opens the three-minute-12 second long clip of "Shaandaar" that oozes freshness and quirkiness of a modern-day romance, enhanced by Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's easy chemistry.
Shahid is seen as wedding planner Jagjinder Joginder, who is organising the marriage function of Alia's sister.
His father Pankaj Kapoor plays Alia's dad in the film. His half sister Sanah Kapoor makes her Bollywood debut with the film, playing the bride in the destination wedding drama.

Veteran actress Sushma Seth will be seen as the matriarch.
Jagjinder's cat-and-mouse relationship with Alia's father is one of the highlights of the trailer as Shahid and Pankaj displayed an endearing on-screen camaraderie.

The film is directed by "Queen" helmer Vikas Bahl and co-produced by Phantom Films, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Fox.
Johar took to Twitter to share the trailer.
"The wait is over!! Here is the #ShaandaarTrailer http://bit.Ly/ShaandaarTrailer...," he tweeted.
The movie will hit theatres on October 22.
