"All 11 districts comprising of 553279 households have been covered under the PMJDY scheme launched in August last year," Warjri said while addressing a state level bankers' committee meeting held here.
Till January 21, 1,34,373 new accounts were opened and 1,16,366 'Rupay Cards' were issued under the scheme, he said.
He, however, expressed concern at the deteriorating credit deposit ratio and slow progress in granting PMEGP loans and advocated the need for more financial literacy camps by all banks.
He said the banks stand to benefit due to the accumulation of deposits in these accounts opened under the scheme especially with the second phase of routing of government payments like the NREGA, food subsidy, gas subsidy, etc.
