Haryana government today said all purchases would be made through e-tendering and e-procurement system after January next year to bring transparency in purchase process of various departments.
It was stated by state Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu after presiding over a meeting of High Power Purchase Committee here.
He said necessary directions in this regard have been issued to all departments.
He said that e-tendering and e-procurement system would develop a sense of competition among the suppliers and as a result of this, the departments would be able to make purchases on lower rates. For this, terms and conditions could also be amended, he added.
In reply to a question, the Finance Minister said that the State Government would soon bring out a white paper on state's financial position so that the people could know about the same.
When asked about the issue of urea in the State, he said had the previous government issued necessary orders in this regard and made adequate arrangements for its storage, there would not have been any such problem.
