Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda today claimed that all sections of the society have become disenchanted with the BJP government in Haryana as the party has "failed" to fulfil its poll promises.
The Rohtak MP claimed that land grabbing and corruption are rampant in the state and development work has stopped completely.
"Even BJP legislators are accusing Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar of failing to run the government properly," he said.
Hooda, who was here to attend a number of programmes organised by Congress workers, claimed everyone is feeling cheated by the BJP's "false promises" during the Assembly polls.
"Haryana had become surplus in electricity as five power plants were set up during the Congress' rule. But now, everyone is feeling the pinch of power cuts.
"Rather than developing it further the BJP government surrendered the 693 Mega Watts of Indira Gandhi Thermal plant at Chharli to the Centre for electricity distribution to other states," the son of former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said.
He claimed the people will teach a lesson to the BJP in the next elections and bring the Congress back to power in the state.
About the Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) issue, he said, "The Haryana chief minister cheated the opposition parties by meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi alone. Khattar is not even ready to disclose what assurance the PM had given to him to protect the rights of the state.
