All states including NE must develop equally for India to

Nagaland Governor P B Acharya has said that if India has to develop, every state including the north eastern states have to develop equally.

"The North Eastern states have also equally contributed to the freedom struggle of the country, but the eight NE states are yet to be known to other parts of the country, said Acharya while addressing a function at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday night.

"The border and strategic states of the North East should also shine equally for the nation to grow together," he said.

Acharya was addressing a programme on release of a book on his fourth year in office as governor and also the felicitation of Konyak Women Organisation, the holders of Guinness World Record in the largest traditional Konyak dance at Raj Bhavan.
