As per Mayo International School, the girl, who belongs to economically weaker section (EWS), was suspended as her parents had allegedly misbehaved.
Justice Manmohan said "since the girl's father has apologised, the court is of the view that the matter should be given quietus as the child was not at fault."
As the school's manager, who was present in court, agreed to allow the girl to attend classes the court disposed of the petition.
During the proceedings, the school's manager alleged the parents brought a third person with them when they came to the school and that person had misbehaved with the teacher concerned.
This allegation was denied by the child's mother who claimed the school's principal refused to entertain their complaint against the teacher, who slapped the girl, as they belonged to EWS category.
The petition, filed through advocate Ashok Agarwal, was moved for action against the school and for revoking the child's suspension.
The student was beaten up on November 21 by her teacher Dolly for a "frivolous" reason, the petition had said.
It had also said that when her parents objected to the same, the girl was suspended from school which refused to revoke the disciplinary action.
