Almond, its kernel rises on uptick in demand

Barring a rise in almond and its kernel prices on uptick in demand from retailers, other dry fruits held steady in the national capital today.
Traders said pick-up in demand from retailers driven by ongoing winter season, mainly led to the rise in almond and its kernel prices.
Almond (California) rose by Rs 100 to Rs 17,400-17,600 per 40 kg, while its kernel edged up by Rs 2 to Rs 612-622 per kg.
