Public health officials in Toronto say almost 100 people have reported symptoms of foodborne illness after attending the annual Canadian National Exhibition.
Paramedics treated 34 people who had symptoms of gastrointestinal illnesses earlier this week, sending five to the hospital.
Kris Scheuer, a Toronto Public Health spokeswoman, said today that the number affected has jumped to close to 100.
Public health officials say a thorough investigation is under way.
Food samples from a vendor have been sent to a lab for testing, but the source of illness hasn't been confirmed.
