Alstom India MD Bharat Salhotra gets French honour

French Ambassador to India Alexandre Ziegler today conferred Knight of the National Order of Merits to Bharat Salhotra, managing director of Alstom India and South Asia.
"On behalf of the President of the French Republic, the Ambassador of France to India, Alexandre Ziegler, today conferred the French Honour Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Merite (Knight of the National Order of Merits), to Bharat Salhotra, Managing Director of Alstom India and South Asia," a statement issued by French Embassy said.
According to the statement, the honour comes in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the field of business and his commitment towards the expansion of a flagship French company in India.

Haier launches 2 new models of television * Consumer Electronics maker Haier today announced the launch of two new models of its 4K LED televisions priced up to Rs 1.09 lakh.
The 4K curved LED TV , priced at Rs 1,09,990 is equipped with smart features enabling panoramic vision, AVL (Auto Volume Leveler), HDR (High Dynamic Range) and DBX sound enhancement system, among others.
The other 4K LED TV, priced at Rs 82,990 has features including Ultra HD resolution, MHL (Mobile Hi-Definition Link), which is an interface that allows users to connect smart phones to an LED TV.
"With the Indian population becoming tech-savvy and adaptive towards latest technologies it is expected that the flat panel industry will progress further by leaps and bounds," Haier Appliances India President Eric Braganza said.
