Dressed in a silk shirt and 'veshti', Vijay tied the 'thali' (mangalsutra) to his long time love Amala Paul, who looked bright in a red silk saree, as friends, relatives and wellwishers showered the 'atchathai' (holy rice to invoke blessings) on them, a release from the actors' representative said.
The couple had recently got engaged and later offered prayers at a church at Aluva near Kochi.
