The troubled actress has been in care since being placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold in July.
According to TMZ Online, Bynes has responded well to the medication and counselling she has been provided at The Canyon rehab facility in Malibu, California, where she moved to in September after transferring from the UCLA
The 27-year-old actress is expected to be released into the care of her mother, Lynn, who will supervise her at their family home as she readjusts to the world.
Bynes was allegedly diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder upon being hospitalised in July following a bizarre incident in which she set fire to a neighbour's driveway in Thousand Oaks, Los Angeles, and accidentally doused herself and her pet pooch in gasoline.
