The season will air in 2017, said The Hollywood Reporter.
"Ryan, Brad and their team of remarkable writers have done an amazing job of keeping American Horror Story endlessly inventive, shocking and entertaining, and we are honored to move ahead with them on the seventh installment," FX Networks and Productions CEO John Landgraf said in a statement.
FX noted that various episodes of "AHS" installments account for 12 of the network's top 15 highest-rated telecast of all time. The series has also collected 15 Emmy Awards over the years, including two for "AHS" regular Jessica Lange.
