Amin lost to Simarjitsinh Gaekwad by a margin of 218 votes after the results of the BCA elections held last Sunday was declared today.
Simarjitsinh Gaekwad defeated Amin by 1066-848 margin.
Patel and former Test cricketer Anshuman Gaekwad were elected as secretaries of the association while Amul Jikar was voted as treasurer.
Patel secured 928 votes while Anshuman Gaekwad polled 978 votes.
Kiran More, a former Test wicketkeeper, lost out in the election for two secretaries' post as he finished third with 908 votes.
Meanwhile, Rakesh Parikh and Jitendra Patel were elected as vice-presidents.
Amin's humiliating defeat ends his 26-year-old reign at the BCA. The former FICCI president took over after the death of Fatehsinh Rao Gaekwad in 1988.
Out of 2,378 BCA members that includes clubs and institution votes, 1,918 cast their votes at the tennis court near Motibaug Ground here.
Once the results were announced, the supporters of Simarjitsinh Gaekwad took out a victory procession celebrating his victory.
After his victory, Simarjitsinh Gaekwad said, "My top priority will be to construct a cricket stadium in the city for hosting national and international matches and developing infrastructure facilities for the development of cricket".
There are 85 candidates contesting for 42 posts of BCA and counting has been continuing till late this evening.
