A medical doctor who obtained a Masters in Management from the UK, Amol had served in international projects in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Nepal and other countries in government run-health projects.
Amol joined the Congress in Mumbai yesterday in presence of MPCC chief Ashok Chavan and leaders Anantrao Gharad and Ramkrishna Ojha.
He is the younger brother of Katol BJP MLA Ashish Deshmukh.
