Renowned actor-director Amol Palekar today credited noted director Satyadeb Dubey for his acting career.
"I became an actor by accident," Palekar said while adding one day Dubey asked him to start acting in theatre.
Palekar was in the city to speak at the 6th Kumar Roy Memorial Lecture organised by theatre group 'Bohurupee'.
He acknowledged the early influence of Badal Sircar and Sombhu Mitra in shaping his idea of theatre and said playwrights in those days were adamant about even changing one line in the play, but Sircar told him he has no problem in changing whatever he wanted to.
