The Cricket Improvement Committee of the Mumbai Cricket Association will meet tomorrow to select the coach for the formidable state team, it was learnt today.
As per highly placed sources in the MCA, Pandit's contract won't be renewed.
The question then arises, who will coach the Mumbai team and sources say two former India players -- batsman Praveen Amre and stumped Sameer Dighe are in the race to coach record Ranji Trophy champions.
Pandit was the coach of the Mumbai team for two years and under him the side won its 41st Ranji Trophy title.
Amre has ample coaching experience and was also associated with a few IPL teams.
It is also learnt that the coaches for different age groups will be also appointed.
Amre is a member of MCA's managing committee.
