Based on a specific input, Tarwinder Singh, a resident of Lopoke area of Amritsar, was arrested from Attari Road area near the Wagah Border last night, they said.
A Pakistani SIM card, photographs of restricted areas, restricted army manuals and a hand-made sketch of military installations were seized from his possession, a police officer said, adding he had been charged under various sections of the Official Secrets Act and the IPC.
According to police, during interrogation Tarwinder revealed that he was unemployed and had gone to Dubai in 2010 in search of a job but returned after a year.
